Accessibility Statement (Canada)

Technologies Bernli Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities in Canada. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply Canadian accessibility requirements and recognized accessibility standards to the websites, applications, digital services, and electronic communications that Technologies Bernli Inc. makes available in Canada.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for in-scope digital properties. Where Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation apply to public websites and web content, Technologies Bernli Inc. recognizes WCAG 2.0 Level AA as the applicable public website baseline and treats WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our target for ongoing improvement. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

Scope and Measures We Take

  • Scope of covered services — This statement applies to Technologies Bernli Inc.’s public-facing Canadian website, web application, and related digital content and communications that Technologies Bernli Inc. controls. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, plug-ins, or content that are not owned or controlled by Technologies Bernli Inc.

  • Semantic HTML — We use proper heading levels, landmarks, and ARIA attributes so that assistive technologies can interpret page structure.

  • Keyboard navigation — We design interactive elements to be reachable and operable via keyboard alone and to provide visible focus indicators where practicable.

  • Screen reader support — Labels, alt text, accessible names, roles, status messages, and live regions are used to convey information to screen readers and other assistive technologies.

  • Color contrast — Text and interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed WCAG Level AA contrast ratios, and information is not intended to be conveyed by colour alone.

  • Responsive design — Content is designed to reflow for different screen sizes, orientations, and zoom levels up to 200% without loss of content or functionality where practicable.

  • Motion preferences — Animations respect the user’s prefers-reduced-motion setting where supported, and we seek to avoid content that flashes or otherwise creates avoidable accessibility barriers.

Testing, Review, and Known Limitations

Technologies Bernli Inc. reviews accessibility as part of design, development, and content updates and uses a combination of automated checks, manual review, assistive-technology review, and user feedback where appropriate. We aim to review this statement and conduct an accessibility review at least annually and after material changes to in-scope digital properties. While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Third-party content — Charts, embedded tools, plug-ins, or other content rendered by external libraries or third-party providers (including, for example, Recharts) may have limited screen reader support or other accessibility limitations. We provide data tables, summaries, or other accessible alternatives where possible and will work with vendors or substitute accessible solutions where reasonable.

  • Downloadable documents and legacy content — Some downloadable documents, PDFs, archived materials, or legacy content may not yet be fully accessible. Upon request, we will provide the information in an accessible format or with communication supports, where practicable and in accordance with applicable Canadian accessibility requirements.

  • We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback and accessible-format requests within 5 business days. We will consider the nature of the request, consult with the person making the request where appropriate, and provide a response, accessible format, communication support, workaround, or remediation timeline as soon as practicable. We will document accessibility feedback and use it to inform barrier-removal priorities, product improvements, and future reviews.

Assessment Method and Ongoing Review

This statement was prepared based on self-evaluation by the Bernli team, including review against WCAG 2.1 Level AA target criteria and applicable Canadian accessibility requirements. Technologies Bernli Inc. will update this statement as accessibility improvements are made, known limitations are resolved, or Canadian legal requirements or recognized accessibility practices change.
